(BEDFORD) - Oprah’s big Bedford give has resulted in some big Bedford generosity. Fund raising efforts to help the family of Jeff and Melissa Harrell crested $130,000.
Jeff and Melissa Harrell, along with their triplets, lost their Leesville home to a fire in January, and last week Monday, Oprah Winfrey's crew came to the home of their friend, Shelley Fleetwood, and delivered a $10,000 check to get things started.
That $10,000 turned into a grand total of $134,137 in gifts, cash and other items, and brought the Lawrence County area together to help one of their own.
