(ORLEANS) - The Orleans High School Academic Team took top honors in the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference Academic Competition in Crawford County last night.
Orleans grabbed the win over competitors from Paoli, Springs Valley, Perry Central, West Washington and Crawford County High Schools.
In specific subjects, Orleans took first place in fine arts, science and interdisciplinary studies, second in English and third in math and social studies, with a final overall score of 95. That put them 11 points ahead of their closest competitor.
Orleans now moves on to the area meet at Austin.
