(BEDFORD) - More strange changes in weather forecasts today.
Yesterday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for most of the listening area and on north, last night, that watch was cancelled, and replaced with a snow and blowing snow advisory for most of that watch area.
As of 3:30 this morning, Lawrence, Monroe, Martin, Greene, Brown and Bartholomew counties, including the cities of Bedford, Bloomington and Columbus, will be under a snow and blowing snow advisory starting at noon today and going through 4:00pm tomorrow afternoon.
Meteorologists are predicting between 3 and 5 inches of snow by the end of tomorrow, however, its winds around 30 miles per hour that could cause the major headaches.
Also, that watch reduction doesn't mean everyone's out of the woods.Areas south and east of Lawrence County, including Jackson and Orange counties, have actually been upgraded to a winter storm warning.
The time frame for that warning is still the same, between noon today and 4:00pm tomorrow. In those areas, the National Weather Service thinks 6 or more inches of snow could accumulate.
