(BEDFORD) - Next time you complain officers are out writing tickets instead of solving “real crimes,” think of this one.
State Police Bloomington say they pulled over Linda McClusky of Bedford the other day for not wearing her seat belt.
Trooper Greg Day stopped McClusky's Oldsmobile, approached the woman and get the usual information police ask for in a traffic stop, and then went back to run the information through his computer to issue the $25 seat belt ticket.
When he did that, he found McClusky was wanted for a felony charge of larceny.
Trooper Day went back to the vehicle, placed McClusky under arrest, and took her to Lawrence County jail.
