(BEDFORD) - Around here, when it rains it pours…and then it snows.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch starting tomorrow morning. The area, including Lawrence, Monroe, Orange, Martin, Jackson, Greene, Washington and Bartholomew Counties and the cities of Bedford, Bloomington, Columbus and Seymour are under the watch starting tomorrow morning and going through Saturday evening.
National Weather Service meteorologists are expecting snow to start rolling in late tonight and pick up by morning, and then linger into Saturday, possibly dropping up to 6 inches of snow and blowing winds up to 35 miles per hour.
Additionally those flood warnings also continue until further notice in some areas. Flood levels in Bedford are expected to crest tonight and get over the 23-foot level, which is significant, by Sunday morning.
In Williams, the river is looking to crest by tonight as well, and get over road level possibly by Sunday afternoon.
In Seymour, water levels were well over flood stage last night, and that looks to be the case through Sunday night.
INDOT again urges people to stay clear of flooded roads and to not cross through water if you can't see the roadway underneath, and to not disregard any flooded road signs.
