(UNDATED) - There’s still a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on, as of 1:38am this morning.
The United States Geological Survey declared another earthquake really early this morning, registering a 4.5 on the Richter Scale.
Reports currently indicate this one centered about 5 miles northwest of Mount Carmel, Illinois, once again within that New Madrid Fault System.
One woman called WBIW early this morning, saying it shook her home in Springville.
Officials from the US Geological Survey, National Weather Service and Indiana Department of Homeland Security have said they expected further tremors and quakes to occur over the weekend.
Early in the weekend, the Indiana Department of Transportation also conducted a precautionary survey of bridge and motorways throughout the Hoosier State, and have reported no issues have been detected.
