(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington State Police post has released statistics on meth lab activity in their district.
The district, which includes Lawrence, Monroe, Brown, Greene and Owen Counties, has seen a small increase in the number of meth labs dismantled in 2007 versus 2006. However, Lawrence County has seen a marked decrease.
There were 8 meth labs taken down in Lawrence County in 2006, versus only 2 in 2007. We're already at half that this year, with one lab having been taken down a few weeks ago by Lawrence County and Bloomington State Police officers.
