(BLOOMINGTON) - If you are a fan of big horns, big formations and big noise, you may want to be in Bloomington this August.
The Drum Corps International World Championships have been moved to Indiana University's Memorial Stadium for what is the biggest event in drum corps competition.
Last year's champion and winningest corps, the Blue Devils from Concord, California will defend their mantle against 25 other corps in what is the biggest event in what is referred to as the "Major League of Marching Music."
The event was originally scheduled to take place at the new Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis; however, the future home of the Colts won't be ready in time for the corps and the expected 30,000 plus fans by the time the tournament starts on August 7th.
And, though no bands are based in Indiana, Drum Corps International is actually based in Indy, where its events are supposed to take place over the next 9 years.
