(MARTINSVILLE) - State police from the Putnamville District took down a meth lab in Martinsville.
The state troopers located the lab within a camping trailer only 375 feet south of Central Elementary School, on Martinsville's East Walnut Street.
When they entered the trailer, reports say they found an anhydrous lab and a small amount of finished methamphetamine.
Nobody was located at the lab and, so far, no arrests have been made.
However, the person responsible could be facing a Class-A felony charge of manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a school, which carries a maximum penalty of 50 years behind bars and $10,000 in fines.
Police say the investigation into who is responsible continues.
