(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies served an eviction order yesterday, and turned up a marijuana growing operation.
Sheriff's officials say they served an eviction order on the home of 53-year-old James Reineke yesterday morning, and also noticed he was wanted on a pair of civil warrants.
At that point, they booked Reineke into the Monroe County jail and, right about the time he was bonding out, officials were alerted by the landlord who was changing locks of a marijuana growing operation inside the apartment.
When deputies arrived, they found 46 marijuana plants, a garbage bag full of pot, a bong made from a pickle jar and a loaded rifle. By the time the jail could be alerted to the findings, Reineke had already gone.
Additional charges have been requested for the pot.
