(UNDATED) - State police all over Indiana are trying to get the word out that planting season is fast approaching, and that means farm implements in the roadways.
State troopers advise farmers that they are required to display slow-moving vehicle signs on the back of their equipment and that they are required to pull off the roadway if there are three or more vehicles behind them.
Motorists are reminded to watch all of the machine's signs, signals and hand signals from the driver.
If you need to pass, make sure the machine isn't about to turn left since they may do so at random into a field.
Most importantly, drivers should just keep a general eye out for farm equipment on the roads, especially on higher-speed highways, so they can slow down to avoid a collision.
