(BEDFORD) - Bedford police have two in custody on drug charges after a traffic stop early this morning.
Police say they found 27-year-old Kristina Fox driving near US-50 and 35th street, and recognized her as a suspended driver.
Police say that, when the pulled her over, they saw her and her passenger, 28-year-old Steven Sykes, allegedly dumping items out of their pockets onto the vehicle floor.
Police also say they found a tobacco grinder in the vehicle that reportedly had marijuana in it.
Both Fox and Sykes were arrested, and when they searched Sykes, they apparently also found tablets of alprazolam and methadone on him.
Fox is charged with driving while suspended with a prior and possession of marijuana. Sykes stands charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and of both a Schedule II and Schedule IV substance.
Both were taken to Lawrence County jail.
