(BLOOMINGTON) - Two weeks and two internal thefts at the Bloomington Wal-Mart.
Monroe County Sheriff's officials were called by store security last week to investigate a cashier who was allegedly letting people walk through her lane without paying for all their merchandise.
One person went through and allegedly paid for a $3.96 Glade Plug-In warmer, and walked out with power tools and tool storage boxes. Another man reportedly came through with a couple power tool combo kits, a cap stapler and an air tool kit, and paid for a cherry soda.
In all, less than $6.00 was paid for more almost $1,600 worth of merchandise. An arrest warrant has been requested for the cashier.
Then, yesterday, deputies say 28-year-old Nikola Roberts allegedly charged up a couple Wal-Mart gift cards without paying for them, and then went on a trip.
Reports say she admitted to taking them and using one in Vegas and another in Bedford.
Roberts was arrested on a felony theft charge and taken to Monroe County jail.
