(INDIANAPOLIS) - Attorney General Steve Carter has reported securing refunds for those who were scammed by the Hukill Oil Company, who runs the Mr. Lubie oil change chain.
Carter says those who were caught up in the scam had purchased a service where they get premium oil instead of their bulk, cheap oil, but got the cheap stuff anyway. According to the agreement, that entitles eligible victims to a $20 refund.
Additionally, Mr. Lubie will repay $3,750 in investigative costs to the Attorney General's office.
Most of the complaints, at the time, were reported from the Columbus, Indiana store, however, they also operate stores here in Bedford as well as Bloomington, Ellettsville, Martinsville and other nearby communities.
Carter says it is important that customers not contact Mr. Lubie about the refund, as they will contact all eligible victims.
