(UNDATED) - Secretary of State Todd Rokita wants to remind Hoosiers who cast a provisional ballot on last week’s primary elections that this coming Friday is the deadline to appear before the county election board and state your case as to why your vote should be counted.
Rokita says Indiana election officials don't officially certify election results until 10 days after the election day so that those who cast provisional ballots can still have their voice officially heard.
For many, the issue of photo ID is what caused them to vote on a provisional ballot, and that people can obtain a photo ID and present it to the county election board, but, once again, deadline is by noon on Friday, so make sure you get in to have your effort to get out and vote count!
