(SWITZ CITY) - A Carlisle man is in jail after allegedly leading Greene County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase topping 140 miles per hour.
Greene County reports say officers tried to pull over 26-year-old Michael Bohnert of Carlise for a speed violation in his late model Ford Mustang, but they say he disregarded the officer's lights and sirens and took off fast enough to lose pursuing cruisers.
Bohnert would be reported as going east on IN-54, then south on IN-57 where it lost police officers, then it would turn back around to go north on IN-57 where officers would pick him back up, and then pull over and stop at the Lighthouse Junction.
Bohnert was taken to Greene County jail charged with a felony count of resisting arrest by vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.
