(BEDFORD) - The US Forest Service is purchasing nearly 44 acres of land for a new headquarters building for the Hoosier National Forest.
The new site on IN-37 south of Bedford will allow officials to consolidate operations and equipment in one place.
The National Forest includes about 200,000 acres in segments stretching between Bloomington and the Ohio River.
