(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation has reported approving funding for the rehabilitation of a pair of some Lawrence County bridges.
INDOT's Vincennes office reports Lawrence County will be awarded $4.1 million for rehabbing bridges including one on Old 37, and one on Mill Creek Road.
Lawrence County officials put in for federal matching funds for the project, and the request was granted on Tuesday.
The final funding will be used to restore the wooden covered bridge over the river on Huron-Williams Road, rehab the Old 37 bridge over Gulletts Creek, and replace structure on the Mill Creek Bridge over the CSX railroad tracks.
