(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man is in custody for allegedly biting a Kroger employee after being spotted trying to make off with a bottle of booze.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say an officer was called to the Kroger on south IN-37 to a report of a man fighting with store employees because they say they saw him stealing a bottle of liquor.
One employee says the man, 32-year-old Eric Olmstead bit him during the scuffle.
Monroe County officials say video confirmed Olmstead's theft, and so the officer took him into custody on a felony count of theft and a misdemeanor count of battery.
