(BEDFORD) - The East Fork is forecast to remain flooded in various areas throughout the next few days.
National Weather Service meteorologists are saying various rivers throughout Southwestern Indiana and Southeastern Illinois could be over flood stage through May 26th.
In Jackson County, the East Fork of the White River is due to be over the banks through this morning, so some local roads may still be affected by this morning's commute.
Here in Lawrence County, the east fork is due to be out through Wednesday afternoon in Rivervale. Flood levels are expected to get up to the 22.5 mark by tonight, which would make certain roads like Buddha and Lawrenceport impassable.
Minor flooding is also forecast in Williams, with the river to cross flood stage by some time tonight.
Stumphole Road and CR400 South may be compromised, and drivers should exercise caution on IN-450 as well.
