(BLOOMINGTON) - Kids in Bloomington apparently do the darndest things.
Over this week, Monroe County Sheriff's deputies have had to bring in at least three minors on criminal charges.
On Saturday, deputies arrested a 14-year-old male on battery charges after a 3-on-3 ball game he was in turned sour and resulted in him allegedly sending another player to the hospital with a broken nose.
On Monday, a fire department official found a 15-year-old male passed out drunk underneath a vehicle, and called in help. The kid blew a .22% BAC and was taken to the hospital and subsequently charged with illegal consumption.
Then, Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the Bloomington Wal-Mart to a report of a 16-year-old male allegedly trying to walk out with more than $100 in CDs and DVDs.
When police arrived, reports say his mother told them he had been in trouble 4 times since February, and they also found a bottle in his pocket full of prescription medication belonging to his mother.
The 16-year-old was charged with felony counts of theft and possession of a controlled substance and was referred to juvenile probation.
