(UNDATED) - Several counties are still facing significant power outages, especially in Bartholomew, Morgan, Jackson and Owen Counties.
Throughout the Duke Energy service area, more than 87,000 people have lost power at one point or another, however, they have that number shaved down to only a few thousand.
Duke reports that more than 4,000 customers are in the dark until flood waters recede since power crews can't repair lines until then.
Another 2,200 customers are out in the area, and most of those are focused in Bartholomew, Morgan, Jackson, Vigo and Owen Counties.
However, the heavily hit areas in Monroe, Greene, and Clay Counties are either entirely, or nearly entirely restored. Lawrence County had very few outages.
Additionally, in terms of utilities problems, Eastern Heights Utilities in Greene County has issued a boil and water conservation order near the Greene-Owen County line.
Eastern Heights reports a 6-inch water main was washed away by flooding near Freedom, and the orders will remain in effect until further notice.
