(GREENE CO.) - About 60 feet of concrete and pavement on SR-57 in Greene County was washed out by high water, and isn’t expected to be replaced for at least a month.
Simpson Ditch, just south of the intersection of in-54 and in-57, covers a small creek that carries very little water other than storm drainage, pushed out the concrete structure and several feet of asphalt away from the road.
This leaves just guard rails to span the distance, and there is no estimate on what reconstruction of the bridge will cost.
