(BEDFORD) - A Crawford County man pulled over for drunk driving in Bedford wanted no part in a sobriety test.
Around 3:00pm this morning Bedford police officers observed a vehicle driving over the center line heading eastbound on 16th Street near H Street.
When officers pulled over the vehicle of 37-year-old Eric Herron of English, who showed signs of being drunk.
When officers tried to handcuff Herron he became combative, and had to be forcefully restrained. Herron refused a field sobriety test, and was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital, where officers received a warrant to retrieve a blood sample from him.
Herron was lodged in Lawrence County jail for drunk driving, disorderly conduct, and resisting law enforcement by force.
