(UNDATED) - “Severely damaged.” That’s how Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is describing the ag sector of the state following the weekend floods.
The governor took a tour of some of the hardest-hit farms in South Central Indiana Thursday. Daniels says some lost a little and others lost a lot.
Friday morning, three FSSA offices will open as "one-stop shops" for people looking for help with everything from FEMA applications to food stamps.
The FSSA offices will open at 9:00am in Terre Haute, Martinsville, and Columbus. Other one-stop shops will open over the next few days.
As for the forecast of more storms, the governor says he is hoping for a "lucky" break on Friday the 13th.
Daniels says Hoosiers need a respite from the water.
