(BLOOMINGTON) - Five juveniles are in trouble with the law after a joyride turned destructive.
Monroe County Police responded to reports of vandalism being done to mailboxes along South Dunlap Road.
The person who made the 911 call was able to identify the vehicle, and a Monroe County Deputy was able to locate the vehicle on Garrison Chapel Road.
During the traffic stop the deputy found that the driver did not have a driver's license, and that most of the five passengers were juveniles.
The driver said that they had been driving around and were heading home, but after a lengthy discussion two of the juveniles admitted to vandalizing the mailboxes, some in an act of revenge on other juveniles.
Two of the juveniles were issued citations and the driver was cited for driving without a valid license.
The court will be asked to have the juveniles pay for the mailboxes.
