(INDIANAPOLIS) - Lawrence was among six other counties approved for federal assistance yesterday evening, this now brings the total number to 37 counties.
Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs or to cover uninsured property losses.
This and other programs are intended to help individuals and businesses recover from the effects of the flood.
So far FEMA has approved more than $23 million in relief.
If you have received any damage from the severe weather or floods since May 30th you can register to get assistance at fema.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
