(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington resident returned home from an out of town trip to find that someone had broke into their house, and called to tell them all about it.
The complainants, who live in the 3500 block of Festive Drive, advised Monroe County Deputies that they had 17 phone messages from a man who identified himself.
The man, 36-year-old Warren Hedges of Bloomington, felt the victims weren't paying him in a timely manner after a business agreement they had.
The messages indicated that Hedges was coming to the residence to take what was owed to him.
Another message was left from Hedges from inside the house while using their phone, this time he stole money from them.
Hedges also left threatening messages on the sidewalk in chalk.
Deputies found Hedges at his residence and interviewed him about the burglary, which he confessed to.
Hedges was lodged in Monroe County Jail on a felony charge of burglary.
