(ELNORA) - Governor Mitch Daniels has deployed the Indiana National Guard to Elnora and Greene County to help set up sandbags and assist the community with flood water control.
About 340 soldiers and marines have been dispatched to the area to tag team with local responders, and raise the levee along the White River there.
About 10,000 pre-filled sandbags are being sent to Elnora, 3,000 of which from Hulman Field in Terre Haute, and crews will be filling additional bags as well.
