(BLOOMINGTON) - A strange break-in Sunday morning in Bloomington.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies say they were called to a home on Popcorn Road in Bloomington to a report of loud noises at the back of the home and the man in the house reportedly noticed his ex-wife, 28-year-old Alanda Bates, crawling into the house via a small opening in the closed door.
When police arrived at the scene, a man named Jesse Webb came up to the house saying Bates had told him to get out of the car near Harrodsburg before presumably coming to the house.
After deputies did their investigation and left, another call came from the same residence saying a battery had been committed and officers arrived to find both Bates and Webb at the home.
Reports say Bates got into a confrontation with the female resident of the home and Webb with a female neighbor, and both were arrested on battery charges.
Webb was also found to be wanted on a warrant for failing to appear, and Bates was also charged with a felony county of residential entry from the initial break-in.
