(FRENCH LICK) - Drivers going from, to, and through French Lick may need to find another route when a portion of IN-56 gets shut down for construction.
The Vincennes office of the Indiana Department of Transportation says a section of IN-56 between IN-545 and IN-145 in Orange and Dubois Counties will be closed off in a couple weeks to allow workers to resurface the road and lay pipe underneath.
The shutdown is scheduled to begin Monday, June 16th, and continue through Saturday June 21st.
Local traffic will still be allowed as driveways should still be accessible, however, through traffic will not be allowed, and they will be routed via IN-545 to IN-164 to IN-145.
