(UNDATED) - Indiana State Senator Brent Steele wants farmers who have lost crops or livestock during recent flooding to report losses to the U.S. Department of Agriculture as soon as possible.
Steele says in order to adequately assess the damage, officials at the USDA need loss reports quickly to help support Governor Daniels' request for federal assistance.
Steele hopes this will help farmers in the area receive aid, and get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
