(BLOOMINGTON) - How’s this for a bad day? Get drunk, get in a fight and get choked out, then get thrown in the slammer.
Monroe County Deputies were dispatched to the 2900 Block of South Leonard Springs Road where an altercation had taken place.
When deputies arrived 18 year old Sheldon Geralds said he got into a fight with a 17 year old friend and that he had choked his friend until he passed out and blood was coming out of his mouth.
The altercation started when the 17 year old and a female got into an argument and Geralds intervened.
Deputies found the 17 year old conscious, very angry, and intoxicated, and when EMS personnel arrived, he would not let them check him for injuries, so he was taken in cuffs by deputies to the hospital where he continued to fight.
He was eventually booked in a juvenile detention facility.
No other arrests were made.
