(BEDFORD) - A drunken trip to McDonald’s led to the arrest of a Bedford woman early this morning.
Bedford Police Officers received a call from employees at McDonald's that there appeared to be an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru and that she almost struck the building.
Employees gave officers a description of the vehicle and informed them the driver turned east onto 16th Street.
Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description at 16th and M streets and stopped the vehicle.
The driver 48-year-old Terri Robbins of Bedford showed signs of intoxication and officers detected alcohol on her breath.
She was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital where a blood sample was taken, which she failed.
Robbins was lodged in Lawrence County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated.
