(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police say the three Bloomington residents being held for bank robbery in South Carolina are also suspected in a series of Monroe and Morgan County robberies.
Bloomington's Captain Joe Qualters says 24-year-old Lawanda Johnson has been identified as the person responsible for a robbery at the People's State Bank on Clarizz Blvd. in Bloomington, and Morgan County Sheriff's officials believe 32-year-old Brandon Williams is one of the people who knocked over the People's State Bank in Paragon.
Johnson, Williams and 30-year-old Auric Koestner are all being held in Moncks Corner, South Carolina for at least robbing the South Carolina Bank and Trust in Moncks Corner, and are suspected in two more in neighboring Dorchester County, South Carolina.
Qualters says local authorities are working with authorities in South Carolina as well as the FBI in trying to settle all matters.
