(MORGAN COUNTY) - An Indy motorcyclist has been killed in Morgan County from an accident.
State Police Putnamville say 48-year-old Patrick Gosnell of Indianapolis was not wearing a helmet when his Harley collided with a Jeep Cherokee driven by 28-year-old Cody Brooks of Bloomington on IN-37.
Preliminary investigations say Gosnell was trying to pass a vehicle from the left lane, which brooks was already in, but when Gosnell accelerated, brooks momentarily slowed down, and Gosnell couldn't avoid the wreck.
Gosnell was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indy where he would later die from his injuries.
Troopers are continuing to investigate the incident.
