(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man is behind bars, in part, on Lawrence County warrants.
Bloomington Police Department's Captain Joe Qualters tells WBIW News 26-year-old Kevin Dennis of Bloomington was stopped by a Bloomington officer for failing to use a turn signal, but was then found to be wanted on a couple lawrence County warrants and for driving while suspended.
Qualters says Dennis also took off running through various back yards before he was captured and brought into custody, and, when they did, he was also found to have a felony amount of marijuana on his person.
Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig tells WBIW News Dennis was wanted on non-payment of child support and for failing to appear on a driving while suspended charge.
Dennis was lodged in the Monroe County jail on possession and resisting arrest charges.
