(COLUMBUS, IND.) - A Southern Indiana hospital wants the federal government to help pay for costs from last month’s flooding.
Columbus Regional Hospital officials are seeking federal assistance to help pay some $70 million dollars, including about $40 million dollars the hospital has to pay to about 1,700 employees while it's closed.
The hospital also faces about $110 million dollars in property damage to the building's flooded first floor and basement.
