(UNDATED) - There was a sharp rise in the number of crimes reported to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department from 2006 to 2007, according to FBI statistics.
Property crimes have increased too, although not as drastically. The number of vehicle thefts has more than doubled over last year.
Clark County Sheriff Danny Rodden believes frustration over the economy has a lot to do with the increase.
