(EDINBURGH) - A month later, many weary residents are still pumping water out their basements.
They aren't pumping out floodwater, but water that continues to rise from the saturated earth, often pooling in fields like the farmland across from the Breeding Addition.
A high water table has many residents running multiple sump pumps around the clock to keep their basements free of water.
Many are hoping for some dry, sunny days so the water table will recede.
