(INDIANAPOLIS) - Lawrence County residents should be seeing their property tax bills arrive in the mail later this week.
According to the Office of Management and Budget, the bills for Lawrence County should be 21% less than they were last year.
Bedford Republican State Representative Eric Koch says he is pleased with the outcome, including spending controls and tax caps.
However, local officials are still worried about the effect this could have on city and county budgets.
Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis, prior to the bill's passing, said the property tax cuts would have a significant impact on Bedford's budget.
