(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County deputies made a pretty major flub Monday night when they mistakenly released an inmate early.
Monroe County officials say Dennis English, who was incarcerated for resisting arrest and battery, was released Monday evening and he took off running before correctional officers could realize the goof up.
Deputies would eventually re-locate English at a home on Bryan Street and took him back without incident.
Monroe County officials are now trying to find out where the lapse occurred.
