(EDINBURGH) - The Indiana National Guard is now putting a $49 million price tag on repairs to Camp Atterbury from a recent tornado and flooding.
The revised estimate covers damage to buildings, roads, bridges, a rail spur and other structures at the training base.
Maj. Kenneth Potchen says the original estimate soon after last month's storms was about $19 million, but it's been difficult to calculate the true cost of the damage -- and he says the current damage estimates do not include the cost to replace items such as vehicles, computers, tools and furniture.
