(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured yesterday afternoon in a rollover accident on Judah Logan Road near Old 37.
Lawrence County reports say 42-year-old Kelly Herdon was southbound on Judah Logan Road when she dropped her cup of soda in the car, and reached down to pick it up.
When she did that, she accidentally went off the right side of the road, hit a culvert and then a utility pole's guide wires, which rolled her Geo sedan onto its top.
Herdon suffered abrasions across her entire body as did her passenger, 16-year-old Eric Herdon.
Both were taken by BRMC ambulances.
Then, also yesterday, a head on wreck near downtown Bedford sent two to the hospital.
Bedford police reports say 55-year-old Ricky Hedrick and 21-year-old Mark Lantz were headed in opposite directions on the short stretch of 14th Street between K and J Streets when, reports say, Hedrick crossed the centerline striking Lantz head-on.
Hedrick didn't show any signs of injury, however, Lantz was treated for chest pain at the hospital.
His passenger, 49-year-old Debra Eads, was taken to have a contusion to her head treated.
Hedrick was cited for driving across the centerline.
