(BEDFORD) - Two more people were injured in unrelated accidents that happened back-to-back in the City of Bedford yesterday, including a 7-year-old boy.
In that accident, 51-year-old Julia Enyhart of Bedford was coming down a hill on M Street approaching an alley between 2nd and 3rd Streets, and that's where 7-year-old Andrew Gary was riding his bike.
According to everyone involved, Gary entered the intersection at a point where Enyhart couldn't stop her sedan, and the car struck Gary. An ambulance took Gary to the hospital for head injuries.
About 20 minutes after that call came in, 49-year-old James McCain of Paoli reportedly fell asleep at the wheel while driving north on Washington Avenue, crossed the centerline striking 27-year-old Billy Mitchell of Bedford head on.
An ambulance arrived and took Mitchell to Dunn Memorial Hospital with pain to his lower leg.
McCain was not injured and no citations were issued in either incident.
