(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington State Police have completed their inspections of the district’s school buses.
State troopers say they inspected 573 buses for 13 school corporations and 2 day care centers in Lawrence, Monroe, Brown, Greene and Owen Counties, and found mostly lighting, exhaust, and cleanliness issues for the buses.
Buses that had minor violations can be driven for 30 days until they get the problem fixed.
Buses placed out of service cannot be driven at all until their problems are taken care of.
Bloomingon troopers didn't report how many, if any, buses were placed out of service.
