(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man has been accused of burglary while awaiting trial in another burglary he was accused in.
Monroe County deputies say 31-year-old Sean Ray of Bloomington allegedly broke into a home on Curry Pike stealing a big-screen TV and other items, and when police caught up with him, he says he had permission to take the set.
Deputies say they also found items from a previous burglary at the same residence in his possession and took him into custody on preliminary charges of burglary and theft.
As WBIW News reported back in early January, Ray also stands accused of stealing $45,000 worth of musical instruments from the Indiana University Simon Music Hall which turned up at area pawn shops.
Ray is currently lodged in the Monroe County jail still facing charges in both crimes.
