Bedford police reports say 39-year-old Franklin Grubb of Mitchell was riding eastbound on US-50 when he came upon a line of cars stopped in front of him.
Grubb was unable to stop the bike in time to avoid hitting the first car, to he laid the bike down to avoid the collision. The report says Grubb was thrown from the bike as a result and suffered a fracture to his lower leg, and was taken by a Dunn Hospital ambulance.
