(COLUMBUS) - Columbus Regional Hospital reopened its emergency department Monday — a few days shy of two months after flooding closed the hospital.
Hospital leaders expressed their happiness about moving back into the department during a special ceremony.
CRH CEO Jim Bickel says patients were first admitted to the department early Friday morning. The ceremony also served as a public thank you and sendoff for Carolinas Med-One -- the mobile emergency department used by CRH for emergency care while its emergency department was closed.
