(UNDATED) - Governor Mitch Daniels has announced the first $10 million in community development block grant money to help areas that were affected worst by June’s floods.
Daniels said the first batch of money will go to areas that suffered the most damage, though he did not specify which areas that would be.
However, more than 17,000 Hoosiers, so far, have applied for assistance through FEMA, and 12,000 have signed up for Small Business Administration loans.
FEMA is currently estimating public assistance totals will top $150 million in Indiana.
